    Smoked Brisket Potato Soup

Warm up with this Smoked Brisket Potato Soup, a creamy and smoky dish that’s pure comfort in a bowl. Loaded with tender smoked brisket, hearty potatoes, and sharp cheddar cheese, it’s perfect for BBQ enthusiasts and soup lovers alike. The blend of smoked paprika and rich cream creates an irresistible depth of flavor. Garnish with green onions, sour cream, and extra cheese for a delicious finishing touch. Whether for chilly nights or a cozy family meal, this soup is a satisfying treat!

    Ingredients:

1 lb smoked brisket, shredded or chopped

4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and diced

    1 onion, diced

    2 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups beef or chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream or whole milk

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

    2 tablespoons butter

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1 teaspoon smoked paprika

    ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Optional Garnishes: Chopped green onions, sour cream, and extra shredded cheese

    Instructions:

    1. Sauté the Aromatics:

Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat.

Add diced onion and cook until softened (about 5 minutes). Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.

    2. Cook the Potatoes:

Add diced potatoes, broth, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the pot.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender (15–20 minutes).

    3. Blend for Creaminess:

For a rich texture, blend a portion of the soup. Use an immersion blender directly in the pot or transfer half of the soup to a blender, purée, and return to the pot.

    4. Add the Brisket and Cream:

Stir in the shredded smoked brisket, heavy cream, and cheddar cheese.

Simmer on low heat until the cheese is fully melted and the soup is heated through.

    5. Serve and Garnish:

Ladle the soup into bowls and top with chopped green onions, a dollop of sour cream, and extra cheese for garnish.

Pair with warm cornbread or crusty bread for the ultimate BBQ-inspired meal!

    Why You’ll Love It:

This Smoked Brisket Potato Soup combines creamy, cheesy goodness with smoky brisket flavors for a bowl of hearty perfection. It’s a delicious blend of BBQ and comfort food that will keep everyone coming back for more.
