    Crispy Chicken with Creamy Dijon Sauce Recipe

     

    This Crispy Chicken with Creamy Dijon Sauce recipe combines tender, golden chicken breasts with a rich, tangy sauce for a flavorful meal. The crunchy Panko coating adds extra crispiness, while the Dijon mustard and lemon juice create a perfect balance of creaminess and zest. It’s an ideal quick dinner option, ready in just 25 minutes. Pair it with roasted veggies or mashed potatoes for a complete, comforting dish. Perfect for busy weeknights or weekend family meals!

    Ingredients:

    For the Chicken:

    4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

    1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Panko for extra crispiness)

    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    1 egg, beaten

    2 tbsp olive oil

    For the Creamy Dijon Sauce:

    1/2 cup chicken broth

    1/2 cup heavy cream

    2 tbsp Dijon mustard

    1 tbsp butter

    1 tsp lemon juice

    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Chicken:

    Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

    In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. In a separate bowl, beat the egg.

    2. Coat the Chicken:

    Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, ensuring it’s fully coated, then press into the breadcrumb mixture.

    Make sure each breast is well-coated for a crispy and golden crust.

    3. Cook the Chicken:

    Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

    Cook each chicken breast for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (reach an internal temperature of 165°F).

    Remove from skillet and set aside.

    4. Prepare the Creamy Dijon Sauce:

    In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

    Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice.

    Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    5. Serve:

    Slice the crispy chicken breasts and drizzle generously with the creamy Dijon sauce.

    Garnish with fresh parsley. Pair with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal!

    Cooking Tips

    For an extra crispy texture, use Panko breadcrumbs.

    Adjust the tanginess of the sauce by adding more or less lemon juice to taste.
