    Fried Cheese Stuffed Doritos

Fried Cheese Stuffed Doritos combine the crunch of Nacho Cheese Doritos with gooey mozzarella for an irresistible snack. Perfect for parties or a cozy night in, these cheesy bites are sure to be a hit!

    Ingredients:

    – 1 bag (9.75 oz / 275g) Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed
    – 8 oz (225g) mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes
    – 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
    – 2 large eggs, beaten
    – Oil for frying
    – Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. Crush the Doritos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.

    2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with crushed Doritos, one with flour, and one with beaten eggs.

    3. Coat each mozzarella cube in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and roll it in the crushed Doritos, pressing gently to ensure they stick.

    4. For an extra crunchy coating, dip each cheese cube back into the egg mixture and then roll it again in the crushed Doritos.

    5. Arrange the coated cheese cubes on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour. This helps prevent the cheese from oozing out while frying.

    6. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).

    7. Fry the cheese cubes in small batches for 2-3 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy.

    8. Remove the fried cheese cubes and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil. Serve hot with marinara sauce if desired.

    Notes:

    – Feel free to try different types of cheese for a unique twist.
    – Freezing the coated cheese cubes thoroughly helps maintain their shape during frying.

    Prep Time: 20 mins | Cooking Time: 3 mins per batch | Total Time: 23 mins + freezing | Calories: 250 | Servings: 6
