    Irresistible Buttermilk Pie Recipe

    Ingredients:
    – 1 3/4 cups sugar
    – 1 stick unsalted butter (1/2 cup), at room temperature
    – 3 large eggs
    – 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
    – Pinch of salt
    – 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    – 1 tablespoon buttermilk
    – 1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked

    Directions:

    1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

    2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until well blended and smooth.

    3. Beat Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition to ensure a smooth mixture.

    4. Add Dry Ingredients: Mix in the vanilla extract, salt, and flour, beating until fully incorporated.

    5. Add Buttermilk: Stir in the buttermilk until the mixture is well blended.

    6. Prepare Pie Shell: Place the unbaked pie shell on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil to catch any overflow.

    7. Fill Pie Shell: Pour the buttermilk mixture into the pie shell, filling it to the top. Pour any remaining mixture into an ungreased custard cup.

    8. Bake: Bake the pie in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden.

    9. Cool and Serve: Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool almost completely before serving. Store covered in the refrigerator.

    Enjoy!
